The general objective of this call for proposals is to strengthen the independent monitoring of Tunisia’s fiscal and tax policies by civil society organizations (CSOs).
The specific objectives of this call for proposals are:
- increase the capacity of civil society organizations in the field of budgetary and fiscal policies;
- promote the development of networks and coalitions of CSOs focused on the shared development of capacities, analysis and advocacy on budgetary and tax policies;
- promote structured and regular monitoring of the budget and tax policies by CSOs and increase analytical capacity in these areas, as well as the development of structured monitoring tools.
It should be noted that this call for proposals focuses on actions relating to budgetary and fiscal policies at national level.
The EU has other funding mechanisms through which it funds and will fund actions (including civil society) related to budget and tax control and budget participation at local government level and related to the implementation of the decentralization policy at municipal level.
