I am Carol, founder and CEO of Uplifting Syrian Women, a women’s rights activist, peace-builder, and social entrepreneur dedicated to promoting gender equality and sustainable peace in Syria.
Since launching my initiative in 2021, I’ve supported over 5,000 individuals by providing free online courses, workshops, support groups, and articles on gender issues, GBV, and the SDGs. My work empowers low-income, vulnerable women to enhance employment opportunities and advocate for equal rights, challenging gender-based discrimination.
Recognized with Women in Tech’s Most Impactful Initiative Award in the MENA Region, my goal is to help Syrians, especially women, build a brighter future post-war.
