My name is Sireen Abu Turabi, a 21-year-old Palestinian with a deep passion for sustainable development, children and youth, climate change, environmental preservation, and entrepreneurship. I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in accounting at An-Najah National University, where I also serve as a board member of the Sustainable Development Association. Throughout my journey, I’ve contributed to various initiatives and organizations, including the Access 13 program under the US Consulate, as well as former memberships with “Ana-Jawwal” and “Paltel Shabab” teams.
I am also a dedicated volunteer with the Language Resource Center (LRC), the Public Relations Department at my university NNU, and a contributing member for Foras khadrah. In 2023, I achieved third place in the on-campus Hult Prize competition, presenting a startup idea focused on sustainable fashion.
These accomplishments, along with my diverse gained experiences, have equipped me with a range of skills that have allowed me to lead and organize several events, local campaigns and initiatives. Notably, I organized the “Warm Winter Campaign,” in collaboration with Palestinian charities to support families in need during the winter season.
I’ve led a development initiative project to enhance learning environments in Palestinian schools by building laboratories & playgrounds.
For the “Ilham Palestine 7th” competition, I also worked on a youth anti-smoking campaign in collaboration with the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Additionally, I spearheaded an initiative aimed at combating school dropout rates among Palestinian children. These experiences have helped shape me into a proactive and committed individual, constantly striving to make a positive impact in my community through innovative solutions and dedicated volunteer work. Through all these experiences, I have helped encourage others in my community to be part of the change I hope to see in our future.
