The ENCATC Digital Congress is the only global event dedicated to the advancement of theory, education, research and practice on cultural management and policy. Each year, it gathers academics, trainers and researchers from the cultural management and policy educational fields with crossdisciplinary interests, cultural professionals, policy makers, artists, and students.

The 2021 ENCATC Digital Congress aims to:

  • Provide a space for reflection on the implications for cultural management and policy, as well as for education and research in these fields, of the situation of artists;
  • Foster a wider reflection on the sustainability of the cultural and creative sectors taking into consideration the current, multi-dimensional crisis, and before the scenario(s) ahead
  • Lead a comprehensive view on the issue which considers not only the status of the artist in terms of professionalization, standards, etc., but also encourages an examination of the roles assigned to artists in society and the territory in the forthcoming scenarios.

ENCATC, co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme, represents, advocates, and promotes cultural management and cultural policy education, professionalizes the cultural sector to make it sustainable, and creates a platform for discussion and exchange at European and international level.
