TunisiaCoordination Meeting between EuroMed Feminist Initiative and the Parliamentary Women and Family Affairs Committee in Jordan
EuroMed Feminist Initiative (EFI) held a meeting with the Committee of Women and Family Affairs in the Jordanian House of Representatives in the frame of the project “Towards Stronger Economic Participation of Women in Jordan” funded by the European Union (EU). The meeting was attended by the president of the Committee H.E Mayadah Alshraim and the MPs members of the Committee.
The meeting discussed ways of cooperation for strengthening the role of women in Jordan and reducing obstacles to their economic, political, and social participation. The meeting also sought to bolster the partnership between EuroMed Feminist Initiative and the Committee of Women and Family Affairs to implement policies and mechanisms to combat Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). In this regard, the Regional Civil Society Observatory (RCSO) on VAWG, hosted by EFI in Amman, presented their work on the Regional Index on VAWG and Women, Peace and Security Agenda (WPSA).
