In the framework of the EU-funded Support Programme to training-job and qualification adequacy (AFEQ), three guided visits for schoolchildren in the provinces of Blida and Bejaia were organised on 30 April and 7 May. These visits aimed at raising awareness of the professions in priority sectors of vocational training through apprenticeship, particularly through “discovery” sessions held in local centres of vocational training and apprenticeship.
The Support Programme to training-job and qualification adequacy (AFEQ) is co-funded by the European Union (€10 million) and the Algerian government (€1 million). It aims at ensuring a better adequacy between training and employment through a better involvement of the companies in youth training and insertion. The programme will last 36 months.
