The EU-funded Support Programme to training-job and qualification adequacy (AFEQ), a cooperation programme between the EU and Algeria, will hold two seminars to present DAIFE, the follow-up, insertion and training-to-employment mechanism as well as its management and implementation guide. These events will take place in each of the pilot provinces, i.e. on 8 September in Setif and on 11 September in Algiers.
DAIFE is meant to support the public service missions that provide assistance for insertion and employment, attributed to the ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security (MTESS), as well as the Employment National Agency (ANEM).
These seminars will be an opportunity to exchange with the participants, actors of insertion and employment, companies, professional organisations, public and private training institutions, etc on DAIFE’s expansion modalities and on the potential synergies to mobilise at the territorial level to improve youth employment.
The Support Programme to training-job and qualification adequacy (AFEQ) is co-funded by the European Union (€10 million) and the Algerian government (€1 million). It aims at ensuring a better adequacy between training and employment through a better involvement of the companies in youth training and insertion. The programme will last 36 months.
