The EU-funded SwitchMed programme is calling for applications for its ‘Green Entrepreneurs Training Programme’ in Lebanon. The project is looking for candidates currently living in Lebanon who have an entrepreneurial spirit, a green business idea or a green product or service that they would like to put on the market. The deadline for applications is 10 July.
Participants will learn how to convert their green business idea into a sound and feasible green business project by joining SwitchMed’s on-site training workshops.
Green entrepreneurs who complete the initial training workshop and successfully enter the next phase will receive guidance over several months from a professional team, through an incubation phase and an acceleration phase.
Candidates will be selected taking into account their potential green business idea and profile.
The SwitchMed sustainable consumption and production programme aims to promote a switch by the Mediterranean economies towards sustainable consumption and production patterns and green economy, including low-emission development, through demonstration and dissemination of methods that improve resource and energy efficiency. It also seeks to minimise the environmental impacts associated with the life cycle of products and services and, where possible, to promote renewable energy.
