The “Awareness Workshop for Stakeholders & CCI SMEs cluster members,” blossomed into a vibrant hybrid artisan/designers expo, reminiscent of a festive Christmas market. This collaborative event, born out of the consolidation workshop’s brainstorming sessions with actively engaged SMEs and Designers, seamlessly blended the roles of an expo and an awareness initiative. Attendees immersed themselves in a curated showcase that not only celebrated creative expressions but also shed light on CARISMED‘s tangible outcomes, including abandoned buildings mapping and impactful awareness videos.
Taking place on the 9th and 10th of December, the event featured a diverse array of activities, including hands-on workshops offered by participating SMEs, guided tours in the Medina to explore abandoned buildings, and an insightful talk about urban exploration (urbex) and abandoned buildings. Attendees were treated to a visual feast as the awareness videos produced within CARISMED took center stage, offering compelling narratives about the project’s goals and achievements.
The mapping of abandoned buildings further enriched the experience, providing a comprehensive overview of the initiative’s impact on the local urban landscape. This multifaceted event not only showcased the creativity of SMEs and designers but also served as a powerful vehicle for disseminating knowledge and fostering a deeper understanding of CARISMED’s mission within the community.
