Cinematographic animation techniques – Debate – Cinema as a Platform for Education on Human Rights and Citizenship

In partnership with the National Council for Human Rights (CNDH), the “Association des rencontres méditerranéennes du cinéma et des droits de l’Homme” (ARMCDH) organizes on 29 and 30 May 2018 a training session for regional associations on human rights and cinematographic animation techniques. The event takes place at the National Training Institute for Human Rights in Rabat.

This first training session is part of the project “Cinema as a Platform for Education on Human Rights and Citizenship” (2018-2021) funded by the European Union and the Embassy of the Netherlands. The project aims to promote the culture of human rights by means of cinema.

The project targets 6 cities in Morocco (Rabat, Casablanca, Kenitra, Tangier, Zagoura and Agadir) and aims to create a regional dynamic for a culture of human rights by investing different socialization spaces where young people can be reached (neighbourhood, schools and media).

The opening of this meeting, to be held at 09:30 on 29 May 2018, is the official launch of the “Cinema as a Platform for Education on Human Rights and Citizenship ” project and will be attended by Mr. Alessio CAPPELLANIDeputy Head of EU Delegation, Mr. Driss EL YAZAMI, President of the CNDH, and Mr Frank HUISINGH, Second Secretary to the Embassy of the Netherlands.
