It’s a wrap for the the EU-Funded Twinning Project aimed at boosting the capacities of the Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority, the Palestinian Electricity Regulatory Council, and Electricity Distribution Companies, on 15 July . This two-year project was implemented by a consortium from Slovakia, Italy, and Greece.
Mr. Ibrahim Laafia, Head of Cooperation at the European Union Representative Office in Palestine, highlighted the project’s importance in supporting the Palestinian energy sector’s access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy. Mr. Laafia added that cooperation between energy sector institutions in EU countries and their Palestinian counterparts is crucial, given the significance of supporting this sector for economic and humanitarian development and all aspects of life. He emphasized the need for increased efforts to transform energy in Palestine into green energy in the future.
