European commissioner for neighborhood and enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi, is visiting Morocco.
The Commissioner’s visit will confirm the importance of the EU-Morocco relationship and the desire to move towards green and digital sector partnerships, as well as the mobilisation of investments in these key sectors, among others.
Social sectors, including support for a universal social protection system, but also the development of higher education, digital transformation, research and innovation, energy transition and energy security, sustainable food chains, agriculture and rural development are thus at the heart of EU-Morocco cooperation.
Commissioner Várhelyi will also meet with business and industry representatives to discuss issues related to private sector development and critical investments to achieve sustainable growth amid economic recovery from the COVID-19 crisis .
