As part of the CyberSud project, Rabat’s Institut Supérieur de la Magistrature (Higher Institute of Magistrates) and the Council of Europe are holding an advanced training session on cybercrime and digital evidence from 2 to 5 October 2018 at the Institut Supérieur de la Magistrature, in Rabat.
The CyberSud project, initiated by the European Union and the Council of Europe, focuses on cybercrime cooperation in neighbour countries to the south of the EU. One of its objectives is to increase judges’ and prosecutors’ ability to handle cybercrime cases or cases involving digital evidence.
Another objective is to bolster the legislative framework and the institutional capabilities of government authorities, the Ministry of Justice, the Interior Ministry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the police in the neighbour countries to the south of the EU.
The top priority countries are Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, and Tunisia. This project is organised by the Council of Europe for a duration of three years with a budget of approximately 36 million dirhams.
