In 2022, the European Commission‘s School Education Gateway and eTwinning platforms will merge into the European School Education Platform, retaining your favourite content and expanding on it in a single, modern and accessible space.
The upcoming integrated platform will allow you to discover and explore all the content and services under one roof, creating a sense of “home”. It aims to provide a unique and personalised experience, while also fostering the sense of community and collaboration. The new platform will further contribute to the professional development of practitioners in education and training, in Europe and beyond.
The foundations of the new platform are based on the Commission’s Erasmus+ Programme and its three principles to build a greener, more inclusive, and more digital education for Europe. The platform will also promote the objectives of the European Education Area, especially the Digital Education Action Plan and the development of the key competences.
eTwinning offers a platform for staff (teachers, head teachers, librarians, etc.), working in a school in one of the neighbouring countries involved (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Tunisia, Ukraine, Jordan and Lebanon), to communicate, collaborate, develop projects, share and, in short, feel and be part of the most exciting learning community.
