The Civil Society Facility (CSF) South TA, funded by the European Union, organised a three-day workshop and graduation ceremony for its regional training programme “Policy Dialogue Fellows” on 26-28 November 2017 in Cairo, Egypt.
The workshop gathered 22 young leaders representing eight countries from the Southern Neighbourhood region, who have been trained throughout the past six months, via both online LAB and met regionally face-to-face for specific policy projects and targeted skills development.
The closing ceremony of the Policy Dialogue Fellows 2017 programme was an opportunity for the two generation of Dialogue Fellows from 2016 & 2017, to meet in person, to network, exchange experiences and explore joint collaborations at both national and regional levels. The graduation ceremony was also a venue for constructive and structured dialogue on e.g. migration, youth employability and countering violent extremism, between the CSF South Fellows and the EU hierarchy from both EC in Brussels and the EU delegation in Cairo.
The Civil Society Facility South (CSF South) is an EU-funded regional programme launched in December 2012 with the aim of enhancing the effectiveness of EU cooperation with its Southern Mediterranean partners. It mainly aims at increasing the involvement of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and other non-state actors (NSAs) in sector policy dialogues at the level of partner countries by combining both national specificities and regional dynamics.
