On 10-12 July, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and stakeholders from the southern Mediterranean and representatives of EU institutions will come together for the CSO Forum 2017 around the theme of Youth and Resilience.

The forum will bring together European Institutions, the South advisory group of Southern CSOs (designated during the 2016 Forum) and a team of civil society experts.
In the build-up to the forum, four seminars have already taken place in Tunis in April to gather civil society inputs on:

  • Migration
  • Security and Resilience
  • Human Rights and Governance
  • Reducing inequalities (focus on Employability and Social Business)

The preparatory thematic seminars in Tunis involved CSOs from the Mediterranean region (10 countries of the Neighbourhood South, from Morocco to Syria).
Capitalising on experience and innovative practices, the Forum’s purpose is to support a constructive dialogue and gather feedback on best practices in order to help EU institutions develop the operational responses to challenges in the field.
