A press conference will be held in Cairo on 15 March 2018 at 10.00 a.m. (Egypt local time), at the headquarters of the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation, to present for the very first time the report titled “Acting together for the Mediterranean”.
Drafted by Joint Managing Authority in collaboration with the representatives of the 13 countries participating in the Programme, the report comprises an assessment of the outcomes and impact of the 95 projects funded during the 2007-2013 period.
The report shows how the Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme has become a “hub” for cooperation among public and private actors – including Ministries, public administrations, universities, civil society organisations and SMEs – allowing over 700 organisations to work together and jointly address some of the most relevant challenges in the Mediterranean area from socio-economic development to the adaptation to climate change. But most of all, the report gives voice to the people and tells how projects positively contributed to improving their lives.
