On 17 November, Ambassador of the European Union to Egypt, H.E. Angelina Eichhorst, visited May University in Cairo (MUC) to engage with students, faculty and partners on strengthening EU–Egypt cooperation in higher education, research and innovation. During the visit, Ambassador Eichhorst held a high-level dialogue with the university leadership on opportunities offered through Horizon Europe, the PRIMA Programme, and Erasmus+, highlighting the importance of international partnerships in advancing scientific excellence and educational mobility.
The Ambassador also met with students participating in the “Voices of the Future” exhibition, where they showcased innovative projects and ideas. Their work reflected the creativity and ambition of Egypt’s young generation, reaffirming that youth are central to the shared vision of a modern, knowledge-driven future for both Egypt and Europe. The visit concluded with a lively Q&A session with students and teaching staff, covering a wide range of academic and educational topics and offering space for open exchange and dialogue.
