The Council of Europe organised the first Regional Workshop on Judicial Training Strategy on 23-25 January 2019 in Beirut, Lebanon. This workshop comes in the framework of the EU-funded CyberSouth project. The participants in this workshop were magistrates from Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, and Tunisia.

The purpose of this regional workshop was for priority countries delegates to exchange experience on different methodologies on judicial training strategy. The discussions also evolved around the way the already-trained magistrates could use their expertise and the creation of a prosecutors network.

CyberSouth is a joint project of the European Union and the Council of Europe. It contributes to the prevention and control of cybercrime and other offences involving electronic evidence in the region of the Southern Neighbourhood, in line with international human rights and rule of law standards and good practices.
