A certified training course on project development and management was organised this month in Tunis. The workshop, entitled “EU Funds for Mediterranean Business Support Organisations’ Cooperation Workshop”, gathered over twenty Business Support Organisations’ executives from southern neighbourhood countries. This activity comes as part of the EU-funded EBSOMED project.
The training provided an overview of the opportunities available for Employers’ Confederations and covered the core principles and institutional framework of the EU and its funding programmes and highlighted tools needed to apply to calls for proposals.
The workshop addressed issues such as : Institutional framework of the EU and its funding programmes; Intracommunity programmes; External aid cooperation programmes; First insight in the EU project leader obligation.
This training falls within the framework of EBSOMED’s instrument, support to project development, which offer workshops in project development and management in order to improve the capacity of the EU and Mediterranean BSOs in terms of development of international cooperation projects. Others will be arranged during the project implementation.
Co-financed by the European Commission, EBSOMED is a 4-year project which was officially launched in June 2018 in Tunis. The project aims at boosting the Mediterranean business ecosystem and promoting inclusive economic growth and job creation, by enhancing the private sector environment and namely the Business Support Organisations in the Southern Neighbourhood countries.
