TunisiaEU-funded MED-InA project holds second Zero Waste Workshop for Mediterranean cities
MED-InA project organized its second Zero Waste workshop on 4 November. Due to the covid-19 situation, this second workshop was held online. In addition to the MED-InA pilot cities, Irbid (Jordan), Carcaixent (Spain) and La Marsa (Tunisia), other Mediterranean municipalities attended the workshop to know more about the Zero Waste approach.
The objectives were threefold: to guide pilot municipalities into the design of a Zero Waste public policy; to gain theoretical and technical knowledges; to exchange on waste management strategies implementation, good practices and lesson learnt.
The workshop was organized in 3 sessions leaving room for exchanges with participants to better understand the realities of each pilot city and consequently, to bring appropriate responses.
“A Mediterannean Integrated Alliance on Waste for cities and citizens” project (MED-InA) is funded by the ENI CBC MED program, which aims to develop and roll out a methodology for a “Zero Waste” public policy adapted to Mediterranean cities as an exemplary and participatory approach for waste reduction, reuse and recycling.
