In the framework of the EU-funded project El-Hiwar II, the College of Europe Executive Education, Training Projects Office organised an online Policy Dialogue on Women Economic Empowerment in times of Climate Change.
This event aimed at contrasting debates and priorities in the Arab region and those in Europe.It also aimed to specifically look into the matter of revamping policies and initiatives to support women economic empowerment in light of the evolving situation generated by climate change and its wide-ranging consequences on economic sectors.
This event gathered officials from the European Union (EU) and from the League of Arab States (LAS). In addition, experts, researchers, business communities, civil society and partnering regional and international organisations from both regions contributed by providing inputs.
El-Hiwar II: Training and Information Course on Euro-Arab Diplomacy, is a project funded by DG NEAR and implemented by the College of Europe. It is conceived as a dialogue tool for the EU and the LAS to support strengthened work relations and to learn about each other’s functioning, mechanisms and policies.
