Discover the dynamic initiatives spearheaded by EU Jeel Connectors in Lebanon, where young leaders are making a difference in their communities.

Kitchen of Opportunities at AUB Outdoor Fair

EU Jeel Connectors Maria Roumanos and Nour Fayyad brought the “Kitchen of Opportunities” to life at the AUB Outdoor Fair. Their booth became a hub of activity, drawing in a wide audience of young people eager to explore the many opportunities offered by the EU. With the help of fellow EU Jeel Connectors, they engaged visitors in interactive activities, including an EU quiz where participants could win comic booklets and game boards. The booth also served as a platform for enrolling new members into the EU Jeel Connect network, broadening the community of young changemakers.

Hiking for a Cause in Bekaa

In the scenic landscapes of Bekaa, EU Jeel Connector Moussa Kabbouchi led a hike from “Wadi Al Arayesh” to “Kaa El Rim.” This event, organised in collaboration with various youth groups from the region, provided a unique opportunity to connect with nature while learning about the EU’s environmental initiatives. During the hike, Moussa introduced the EU Jeel Connect network and shared insights into the EU’s work in the environmental sector, including the recent launch of eco-buses in his hometown of Zahlé. The hike was more than just a walk in nature; it was a chance to inspire young people to think critically about environmental issues and how they can contribute to positive change.

These initiatives by the EU Jeel Connectors in Lebanon highlight the power of youth-led action in fostering community engagement and promoting EU values.
