The first edition of Lebanon’s European Theatre Festival will be held from 4-30 October at Al Madina Theatre in Beirut.
The programme of this first edition is quite diverse, with seven performances from seven different countries showcased in this year’s selection. Lebanon is participating along six European Union Member States, including Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
The festival will open on Thursday 4 October with My name is Rachel Corrie by Rachel Valentine Smith. This British piece highlights the political pawning of people and misrepresentation of ‘east’ and ‘west.’
