On Monday, the European Union and the Ministry of Social Development launched the “Support to Social Protection in Jordan” programme with a contribution of 20 million EUR from the EU over the next four years.
The programme will improve the social protection system in Jordan, the quality in social services delivery to the poor and vulnerable groups (including youth, women and persons with disabilities) with the participation of 250 civil society organisations. It will also rehabilitate at least 86 social care centers according to the best international standards and in line with human rights and access principles.
