The AdventureNEXT Near East 2019 (ANNE) conference started in Aqaba, Jordan, yesterday and will last three days. The event, co-sponsored by the European Union, brings together travel agencies, tour guides, hospitality specialists and investors from Jordan, Europe and other countries.
The conference, supported by the EU’s Jordanian Action for the Development of Enterprises (JADE) project, provides members of the adventure and experiential tourism industry an opportunity to network with one another, form business links, and ultimately, bring more tourists to Jordan in this booming tourism niche.
JADE is a three-year project and part of a broader EU programme to support private sector development in Jordan. The JADE Project targets supporting 100 SMEs and 60 innovative startups with development opportunities that would increase exports, maximise productivity and create new employment opportunities for Jordanians.
