On the occasion of Egypt’s Day against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), the European Union reiterates its strong commitment and support to Egypt in its fight against FGM and all harmful practices that negatively affects girls’ and women’s physical and psychological well-being.
The EU is strongly committed to support the lives, dignity, and future of all girls and women in this regard and offers support through various forms such as funding the National Population Strategy Program in Egypt which offers consultations to women and girls in public health units as well as raises awareness though interactive street theatre across Egypt.
