More than 300 people gathered for a major culture event in Tunisia – #EU4CULTURE: Culture lab, Game on! – organised by the EU Delegation in Tunisia and the EU Neighbours South Project, in partnership with the Tunisian Ministry of Cultural Affairs.

The event, which took place on 11 October 2017 at the Abdellia Palace in La Marsa, brought together artists, experts, project beneficiaries, cultural operators, journalists, culture lovers and officials from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and the EU Delegation in Tunisia.

In his speech, EU Ambassador Patrice Bergamini underlined the EU’s strong commitment to support culture for all in Tunisia – stressing “a culture of cross-fertilisation, of welcome, solidarity and generosity.”

Panel discussions saw lively, frank and constructive debates on the themes of ‘Culture and public-private partnership’ and ‘Culture, creating futures’.

Throughout the event, the stands saw a large crowd of people coming to learn about European projects.

The evening included colourful performances by talented artists and bands such as dancer Rochdi Belgasmi, painter Omar Dridi, musical troupe Sarab and percussionists from the Eljem Tonneaux Troupe.
