On 8 March each year, people around the world commemorate the achievements of women and their contributions towards forging a gender equal world.
On this occasion, EUBAM Rafah represented in its Head of Mission Florin Bulgariu and all Mission members reaffirmed their commitment to ending the bias and enforcing gender equality, not only in the days around international Women’s Day but everyday.
During the current Mission mandate, this commitment is translated on the ground through a quick impact project that foresees the empowerment of seven female staff members from the General Administration for Borders and Crossings in order to prepare them for higher managerial and professional appointments.
