Since the 2020 ceasefire agreement concluded between Eastern and Western Libya, the European Union has tangibly supported Libya’s security arrangements in the ceasefire area.
For the past 2 years, the EULINK projectdelivered cutting-edge infrastructure (3 security gates, training facilities, etc.), expert trainings (community policing, emergency trauma care, leadership & management, etc.), and vital equipment (ambulances, first aid kits, etc.) .
Together, the European Union and the Libyan security institutions, operating together in the central region, are bridging divides, enhancing lives, and paving the way for a safer, more connected Libya. These efforts are enhancing local services to citizens and promoting safe travel across Libya, uniting East and West in peace and stability.
