The court team of EUPOL COPPS Mission held presentations for the senior management, including the members of the Academic Committee, of the Palestinian Judicial Institute (PJI) and the staff working in the PJI Training Department to introduce the participants to the key features of the Swedish database system for Training and Learning Management.
The presentations for eight participants also touched upon topics related to the organisational structure, mandate and activities of the Swedish Training Academy for Judges with a particular focus on the provision of online training activities as a crises management tool during Coivd-19 pandemic.
The presentations were followed by a round-table discussion during which the participants had the opportunity to exchange their thoughts and to identify learning points on how to expand the capacity of the PJI in the field of distance learning and online training.
EUPOL COPPS, which was established in 2006, assists the Palestinian Authority in building its institutions for a future Palestinian state, focusing mainly on security and justice sector reforms, under Palestinian ownership and in accordance with the best European and international standards.
