On Friday 19 October, the opening of “Traces of Light” will take place at Beit Beirut from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. The exhibition presents a collection of photos taken by photographers Lorenzo Tugnoli and Diego Ibarra Sanchez and will run from October 19 to 24.

The exhibition aims at casting a light on the lives of Syrians forced to flee to Lebanon due to the Syrian conflict and that now live in informal settlements (ITS) in the Northern Bekaa Valley, where GVC, a non-governmental, secular, and independent organisation, provides relief and services to refugee communities.

In addition to the photos collected for GVC, the exhibition also showcases the ongoing personal projects of the photographers involved.

Partners of the exhibition are the Municipality of Beirut, @LHF, the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund of the United Nations, and ECHO, the European Commission – Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid Operations – ECHO of the European Commission.
