The European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations M. Johannes Hahn closed the Journalism Conference in Tunis, co-organised by the European Union through its OPEN MEDIA HUB project.
The Assises brought together 800 professionals from 30 countries for three days of exchange on “Journalism for the citizens?”.
At the end of the first Tunis International Journalism Conference, participants made a solemn call for freedom of expression and freedom of the press to be defended in their countries as a fragile and valuable asset.
