The European Union in Israel is proud to announce a new partnership with Gesher Multicultural Film Fund, the EU funded project “Out of Place”.
Out of Place is an innovative film incubator that inspires and catalyzes social change, tolerance and inclusion through the amazing power of documentary film.
20 incredibly talented filmmakers from Germany and Israel were selected to embark on a transformative and inspiring journey to unleash their creativity, break down stereotypes, challenge ideas and deeply immerse in their “out of place” stories and the people and communities behind them. Ten short documentary films will be produced by the end of this process and will be used as inspiring and transformative tools to encourage dialogue, inclusion, tolerance and change.
The project Out of Place has won the 2018 Shimon Peres Prize by German-Israeli Future Forum Foundation.
