The OECD’s first Economic Survey of Tunisia, to be published on Thursday 29 March 2018, looks at how to rebalance the economy, boost growth and make it more equitable. The report analyses in particular policies to boost quality jobs and stimulate investment in order to improve growth and competitiveness of the Tunisian economy. It also recommends different ways to reduce regional inequalities.

The Survey will be available to registered journalists on the OECD’s password-protected website at 9:30 on Thursday 29 March for immediate release.

OECD Chief Economist Alvaro Pereira will present the Survey at a press conference in Tunis with the Minister of Investment, Development and international co-operation Zied Laâdhari, starting at 9:30 local time, at the Sheraton Hotel (Avenue de la Ligue Arabe, B.P. 345, Tunis 1080, Tunisia Tunis).

The press conference will be followed by a seminar on key aspects of the survey, including boosting investment and driving down inequality in the labour market and between regions.

At 14.00 PM, a seminar will be dedicated to the implementation of structural reforms and economic governance, based on a discussion of international experiences.
