TunisiaHigh Representative Kaja Kallas travels to Jordan
On December 14-15, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission (HR/VP), Kaja Kallas, will travel to Jordan to participate in an international meeting on Syria hosted by the Kingdom of Jordan.
In Aqaba, the High Representative will discuss ongoing developments in Syria following the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime, together with foreign ministers from Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, the League of Arab States, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, as well as Türkiye, the United States, and the UN envoy for Syria. The talks will aim to support an inclusive, Syrian-led, political process consistent with UN Security Council Resolution 2254. In the margins of the gathering, the High Representative Kallas will hold several bilateral meetings.
