i-Portunus launched today the third call for Applications for short-term mobility in the fields of the Performing Arts and the Visual Arts. The submission deadline is 5 September.
Between April and September 2019, the pilot project i-Portunus will issue three Calls for Applications, providing support for international mobilities of artists active in the fields of the performing or visual arts (except music) and residing in a Creative Europe country. The concerned Neighbourhood countries are: Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Tunisia.
The first i-Portunus Call launched in April resulted in a financial mobility support for 122 artists or culture professionals for the amount of 252.300,00 euros. In June 2019 a second Call for Applications was launched. 710 applications were received, covering 1.141 individuals through group and individual applications. The second i-Portunus Call resulted in a financial mobility support for 131 artists and / or culture professionals for the amount of 249.900,00 euros.
i-Portunus is an initiative funded by the European Union, to help artists and culture professionals take advantage of short-term and flexible cross-border opportunities: to move between European countries, develop international collaborations and audiences, and fully benefit from – and contribute to – Europe’s diverse cultural ecosystems. The results of this pilot project will be key in shaping a new mobility support action in the 2021-2027 Creative Europe programme.
