The Beirut Chamber of Commerce, partner of the EU-funded iHERITAGE project, recently organized an exciting event, where they offered free AR/VR training sessions, focusing on cultural heritage sites. The aim was to help people appreciate these sites better using modern ICT tools. The sessions attracted participants from diverse backgrounds, including students, young talents, SMEs, and public sector representatives.

During this immersive learning experience, 16 individuals, including university students, cultural heritage enthusiasts, marketing, and ICT professionals, were guided by experts Evan Fakhoury and Marc Abou Abdallah. They got to use advanced AR/VR headsets to explore and promote Lebanon’s rich heritage sites. This was an exceptional opportunity for them to enter the emerging and innovative world of AR/VR in Lebanon.

The main goal of the training was to give hands-on experience with AR/VR technology and its potential for preserving and promoting cultural heritage. By engaging participants in these experiences, they gained a deeper understanding of the importance of protecting these historical sites for future generations.
