The Tunis Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIT), the Tunisian partner in IPMED organized an awareness session on Intellectual Property as a support tool for innovation and competitiveness.
The session started with a presentation on the project and its progress followed by a brief about the Intellectual Property Ecosystem in Tunisia and an overview on Copyright and Neighboring Rights.
Two of the winners of the IPMED Sub-Grant, BIODEX and El Fellaga, shared their experience with the Attendees through their participation in the IPMED grant.
The session was an opportunities to gather recommendations such as encouraging Tunisian banks to create tools for Intellectual Property Protection, boosting the IP Ecosystem in Tunisia to implement statistics to identify the state of the IP and patents, focusing on Tunisian start-ups and creating the patent market in Tunisia.
