This week, the Jordan Breast Cancer Program (JBCP) successfully concluded the training programme that they organized with the support of the European Union in Jordan. The training was dedicated to a group of women active as community volunteers in institutions and women working in the health field.
The training developed a series of activities to build capacity in the areas of training and health, such as raising awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer. A part of the training was also devoted to gender equality and entrepreneurship to highlight the importance of raising women’s awareness of their rights and to stress the importance of their financial and economic independence.
The Jordan Breast Cancer Program (JBCP) is a nation-wide program led and supported by the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center and the Ministry of Health for the development and provision of comprehensive services for the early detection and screening of breast cancer for all women in Jordan.
