Jordan: INTERNISA partner presents its contribution to the local development

Al-Balqa Applied University, the Jordanian partner of INTERNISA participated in a workshop, in collaboration with MED-QUAD, another ENI CBC MED funded project, giving an overview of the nature of the project, its objectives and the partners working in it.

The workshop, held in Irbid – Jordan, adressed the digital economy and how the different stakeholders should be involved in it (academia, industry, civil society and governments).

Dr. Omar Arabiat, the local project manager, presented INTERNISA project which deals with increasing women´s digital skills in the labour market discussed with the participants the activities included in the project, and how they can involve and support the implementation of the project to tackle the high rate of women´s unemployment in the Mediterranean region.

With the aim of providing training in digital skills to women and know-how about digitalization approaches to businesspeople, EU-funded INTERNISA combines training in the digital sector with professional development in the agri-food, textile, tourism and financial sectors.
