As part of the objectives of RESMYLE project, the Green Construction Innovation Lab (GCIL) was officially opened in Jordan. The lab is hosted within the existing Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects (CEIP) at the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST).
The Green construction Innovation Lab (GCIL) is an advanced unit within the CEIP that will incubate projects and startups in the green buildings and construction sector.
As one of the fastest growing sectors in Jordan, the GCIL will support NEET entrepreneurs working on innovations in sustainable construction processes, green architecture advancement, sustainable design practices, and alternatives for environmentally friendly building materials. Overall, the incubator will help promote entrepreneurship and private sector job creation in the eco-construction market in Jordan.
NEETs of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply for support from the incubator. This includes backgrounds or experience in the crafts and material industry, construction, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, urban design, and many more.
The RESMYLE project aims to rethink the employment and social integration of Mediterranean youth through sustainable development. It mobilises 9 Mediterranean operators (cooperatives, associations, universities) in 5 countries (France, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon and Tunisia).
