The ADIL Programme – Support for Integrated Local Development – was officially launched in Algiers in partnership with the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport (MICLT). Financed by the European Union with €20 million and by the Kingdom of the Netherlands with €1.8 million, ADIL mobilises a total of €21.8 million to support two key priorities: reducing territorial inequalities and strengthening citizen participation in local governance.

The programme will support four wilayas and twelve pilot municipalities:

  • Mostaganem: Sidi Lakhdar, Boughalem, Khadra

  • Tébessa: Chéria, Bir El Ater, Ouenza

  • Tiaret: Tiaret, Zmala Emir Abdelkader, Medroussa

  • Biskra: El Kantara, M’chouneche, Sidi Okba

ADIL reflects the shared ambition to strengthen the capacities of municipalities, actively involve citizens, and promote sustainable and inclusive development that responds closely to local needs.
