The MED-GEM Network, a project funded by the European Union, is pleased to announce the launch of its 2nd Call for Projects for the (Pre) Certification Pilot of Renewable Hydrogen, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote the green energy transition in the Southern Mediterranean Neighborhood. This call for projects is aimed at companies, institutions, and innovators in the green hydrogen sector wishing to participate in a comprehensive certification exercise, essential for accessing the European market. The certification process will ensure compliance with European Union standards, facilitating the export of renewable hydrogen and its derivatives, such as ammonia or methanol.

Objectives of the Certification Pilot
  • Select an innovative pilot project to participate in the certification process.
  • Support participants with the guidance of a certification-specialized agency.
  • Raise awareness among Mediterranean stakeholders about the benefits of certification for the development of renewable hydrogen projects.

The selected project will receive personalized support throughout the certification process, including dedicated training on European standards and an interactive training seminar.
