The Jordanian partner of MED4EBM, the Royal Marine Conservation Society of Jordan, participated in a cleanup campaign.
Other participants in the campaign included the Governorate of Aqaba, Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Jordan Maritime Commission, the Directorates of Security, Civil Defense, the Youth Directorate, Youth Organizations and Initiatives, and local communities. The activity targeted Aqaba beaches and nearshore underwater. The number of participants from different sectors exceeded 250 persons.
The cleanup campaign aimed at spreading environment awareness to the local community and visitors in Aqaba and advocating for the conservation of nature as a duty for everyone and a value to adhere to.
