To close the first year of the Kawaliss programme, initiated by the Hiba Foundation, with the support of the European Union, an excellence award worth MAD 100,000 was presented to the project with the most outstanding advancement during the many months of accompaniment of the programme. Thanks to the support of the French Institute of Morocco, two further prizes of MAD 70,000 and MAD 50,000 were added for two other innovative projects.

During the ceremony the three excellence awards were presented to the sponsors of the most promising projects, with the first prize, worth MAD 100,000, going to Mohammed and Ahmed Zaid, founders of Zaid Bros. Their project, based in Oujda, consists of an audiovisual recording studio and a school to teach and guide professional artists of the Eastern region.

The second prize, worth MAD 70,000, was won by Mohammed Azouzi for his “Sefrou Club 18” initiative. This video gaming room promotes encounters and training in the gaming field, with the ambition of creating a competitive gaming club to take part in local and international competitions.

The third prize, worth MAD 50,000, was awarded to Tanjawi Abderrahman Daghay for his project entitled “The Local Sessions”. This platform showcases emerging Moroccan artists by means of cinematographic videos, high-quality live audio recordings as well as organising festivals to promote these talented artists in Morocco.
