Jazz at Chellah, the oldest jazz festival in Morocco and the first festival dedicated to European jazz in the world, is preparing to mark the cultural return of Rabat from 25th to 29th September 2019 at the historic site that gave its name to the event.
Built around encounters between European jazz musicians and Moroccan musicians, it will once again offer a unique platform for mixing cultures and dialogue between the two shores of the Mediterranean.
For this 24th edition, Jazz au Chellah, which was organized by the European Union in Morocco together with the Ministry of Culture and Communication, forty artists from 12 European countries will be joined on stage by a dozen of Moroccan artists. The opening night will also be marked by the presence of African sounds through a Franco-Senegalese group.
