Produced by the EU and UNICEF, the film “This Is My Night” will be screened in France at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival (31 Jan – 8 Feb).
The film was first screened at the El-Gouna Film Festival in Egypt then at the Karama Film Festival for Human Rights in Jordan.
“This Is My Night” speaks about a poor lady who decides to enjoy a day out with her son who suffers from Down syndrome. She heads to chic Cairo area to enjoy some ice-cream but instead, she is faced by great struggle. However, she insists on capturing a happy moment, for both herself and her son.
