On 8–9 November, the city of Beit Jala hosted the Olive Marketing Days 2025, an event supported by the European Union in partnership with the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The initiative brought together olive oil producers, entrepreneurs, and small businesses from across the West Bank to showcase their products, exchange experiences, and promote local economic growth.
Visitors had the opportunity to explore a wide range of innovative products inspired by the olive tree — from artisanal foods to natural cosmetics — and to participate in interactive workshops designed for both children and adults. The event also offered a platform for small enterprises to connect with potential partners and highlight the central role of the olive sector in Palestinian livelihoods.
The European Union reaffirmed its continued support for the olive sector in Palestine, which remains a cornerstone of local heritage and rural resilience. Despite the many challenges it faces, the sector continues to thrive through the dedication and creativity of Palestinian producers.
The olive tree, a lasting symbol of peace, hope, and perseverance, stands at the heart of Palestinian identity. Through initiatives like Olive Marketing Days, the EU celebrates and supports the efforts of Palestinian communities to strengthen local production, foster innovation, and preserve this enduring legacy.
