The rumours about the suspension of EU funding to the Palestinian Authority are “unfounded”, EU Representative Ralph Tarraf, in charge of assistance to the Palestinian Authority, said in a statement to the local press on Monday 7 March 2016.
“The rumours about the suspension of EU funding to the Palestinian Authority are baseless. The EU is confident that the funds it provides for salaries and social payments reach their beneficiaries in full; thanks to a robust and regular system of checks and controls in place since 2008. There has been no reason recently to launch an extraordinary investigation into EU funding to the Palestinian Authority”, he said.
